She attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia, where she graduated as the Distinguished Honor Graduate and was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty of 74C (Telecommunications Operator-Maintainer).
