Overview
1st IO Command (Land) is the Army’s only active duty IO unit. It is a multi-component unit with an integrated U.S. Army Reserve Element. The command consists of a Brigade Headquarters and two subordinate IO battalions, each with both active duty and Army Reserve detachments.
The 1st IO Battalion provides analytical, planning, assessment, and training support to Army and Joint forces worldwide through expeditionary IO Field Support Teams (FSTs), CONUS-based cross-functional teams, social media teams, and IO mission readiness exercises.
2d IO Battalion Operations Battalion conducts multi-functional assessments and security training to continuously improve the readiness and resilience of friendly forces against sophisticated adversary attacks.
Stationed at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, 1st IO Command is assigned to U.S. Army Cyber Command. The Command's Army Reserve Element falls under the administrative control of the 335th Signal Command.
